The Shipping and Warehouse Associates will be the foundation of a well-run, organized department, being fully cross-trained and conversant in safely performing all tasks relating to both the shipping and warehouse functions. These associates will be flexible, have a keen awareness of the importance of inventory accuracy and work well as an individual contributor or as part of a team. 

Essential Responsibilities: 
  • Receive incoming inventory and transfer to the required location, both physically and in the Visual system. 
  • Inventory picking and transfer to the required location employing the safe operation of a fork-lift as required. 
  • Daily cycle counting to confirm inventory accuracy. 
  • Entering data into the Visual and ProShip computer systems. 
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment. 
  • Advising the department manager and/or department lead of inventory discrepancies between the system and physical count. 
  • Prepare outbound customer order shipments, working with logistics on all international shipments. 
  • Continually monitoring inventory levels in replenishment bins at all point of use inventory locations. 
  • Inspecting all incoming material shipments for purchase order accuracy, quality defects and shipping damage.  Work with QA and purchasing to resolve the same.   
  • Conduct basic scheduled maintenance on warehouse equipment. 
  • Attention to detail on all system inventory transactions. 
  • Properly process RMA’s as needed working QA. 
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management. 

Competencies/Skills: 
  • Visual Manufacturing, shipping software
  • Fork-lift certification a plus
  • Skilled working with small hand tools
  • Basic Computer Skills

Required Education &
Experience: 
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. 
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience working in a shipping and warehouse department. 
  • Positive attitude works well in a dynamic team environment. 
  • Experience in the safe operation of a forklift 
  • Functional knowledge of the Visual and ProShip computer systems and MS Office products. 
  • Ability to adapt to frequent changes in production flow. 
  • Good communication and organizational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities. 
  • Comfort with basic math skills and ability to read a tape measurement. 
  • Quick learner, excellent attention to detail, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
